Meet Your Coach
Sheri Lerner
My name is Sheri. I've spent my career as a firefighter/paramedic. I love my chosen career, but I found that I was leaving another passion unfulfilled. Unofficially, I've been financially coaching people for five years. I enjoy watching people go from distressed to delighted in their financial journeys. I knew I needed to start coaching professionally to reach a wider audience.
I am a Personal Finance Coach, and I am currently working toward certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) in order to broaden my financial knowledge and better serve my clients.
Financial coaching is appropriate for everyone in all phases of life, regardless of your income, life circumstances, or goals. My only goal is to help you achieve your goals by optimizing your financial situation. I believe you will find that your initial investment in my financial coaching program will help you lay a foundation for a financially peaceful future.

My Personal Finance Story
Early in my adult life, I was a career hopper. I switched my major twice, took five years to earn a four-year degree due to my own uncertainty, and ultimately made a major career change at the age of 26 that involved more schooling. I was buried under a mountain of student debt and an auto loan, I had no real career prospects with my college degree, and I would end up moving home with my parents until I was 28. Even then, I barely had enough money for a 3% down payment on my first home, and I was terrified about whether I would be able to make my mortgage payments. I found myself so angry that everything seemed to kick me while I was down: high interest rates, fees, and private mortgage insurance (PMI) penalized the people who could least afford it. I sought to reduce my own personal interest payments and taxation, and I resolved to learn as much as I could to optimize my own finances.
Over the past five years, I've found that many people use the strategy of burying their head in the sand because they are so overwhelmed by the intricacies of personal finance. Countless people I care deeply about have struggled with their finances, and I have helped them find their own little "footpath" out of their predicament. I have found an intense passion in helping people to confront their own realities, take a deep breath, and embark on their unique journey to financial peace. I want to share the lessons I have learned with others because I strongly believe that hard-working Americans deserve financial peace.
